One of our three ready-to-camp shelters, the Minka, is located at the northern end of Gabriel Bay, not far from the Woodcutter’s Refuge.

Location located in a wooded area, 60 meters from the lake, with floating dock and access to the lake. This unit houses 5 people and is equipped with:
- Wall shelves;
- Table and chairs;
- Wood stove;
- Beds with mattresses.

The site has a dry toilet, a picnic table and a round for the fire.

Routes for land access (500 metre of medium to difficult level) walk on a trail from a small parking lot. Note also that the last stretch of road (Gabriel Bay Road), although usually drivable, consists of a side road and it is mostly recommended by truck or SUV.

Itinerary from Montreal:
- Take Highway 15 north;
- Arrived at Labelle, continue on Route 117 towards Mont-Laurier;
- Cross Mont-Laurier and continue 17km on the 117. At the junction, take Route 107 towards Aumond;
- Cross Aumond and continue on Route 107 for 10km;
- At Sonic Gas Station, continue south towards Sainte-Thérèse-de-la-Gatineau (10km)
- Cross the Village of Sainte-Thérèse and turn left onto the Chemin du Barrage;
- Follow the dam path for 6 km to the bridge;
- Cross the bridge and continue on Leduc Road for 0.9 km to the Gabriel Bay Road branch;
- At the junction, turn left onto Chemin Baie Gabriel and follow for 1.5 km until you reach a small parking lot and a pedestrian trail crossing;
- Take the footpath to the left (direction East) and continue on foot for the last 500 metres.

Itinerary from Gatineau:
- Take Highway 5 then Highway 105 north (direction Maniwaki);
- Once in Bouchette, leave Route 105 and enter the village on the right;
- Follow the main street for 0.8 km;
- At Y, keep right and take the bridge street. Follow the bridge street always keeping right;
- Crossing the Bouchette Bridge
- On the other side of the bridge, turn left and follow Rivière Gatineau Road North for 8 kilometres, towards Sainte-Thérèse-de-gatineau, to a junction;
- At the spur, keep right and continue on Main Road for 7 kilometres to an intersection;
- At the intersection turn right onto the dam road;
- Follow the dam path for 6 km to the bridge;
- Cross the bridge and continue on Leduc Road for 0.9 km to the Gabriel Bay Road branch;
- At the junction, turn left onto Chemin Baie Gabriel and follow for 1.5 km until you reach a small parking lot and a pedestrian trail crossing;
- Take the footpath to the left (direction East) and continue on foot for the last 500 metres.
